GFSN LEAGUE
About the League
 

The GFSN National League is the only 11-a-side football league in the world for LGBT-friendly football teams. We exist primarily for LGBT players and their friends to play competitive football in an accepting envinronment.

The GFSN League has been revamped for the 2010 / 2011 season. For the first time in its history, the league has split into two divisions.

Each Division has six teams with teams playing each other just once, making every league game extremely important. At present, two teams will be relegated from Division 1, with two teams being promoted from Division 2.

The reigning league champions are London Falcons GFC and will be looking to become the first team to retain the title.

Fair Play

Fair Play & Disciplinary

For the 2010/11 season, Fair Play & Disciplinary takes on a more prominent role for the GFSN National League. For the first time in it's history, the league will have a Fair Play League. Teams will be marked on their sportsmanship and conduct by the match referee.

Additionally, teams accrue penalty points for the number of yellow/red cards they receive throughout the season. In the most serious of offences, teams can now be fined for their player's behaviour.

The league is proud to encourage fair play, respect and sportsmanship across the league and fully endorses The FA's Respect Campaign.
